Meet Helen
27 years of professional practice
Helen Selendy is a licensed massage therapist with 27 years of professional experience in Sweden. Today, she welcomes clients to her private studio in Falls Village, Connecticut, offering thoughtful, intuitive treatments tailored to each individual.
Helen trained at Dehner’s Massage School, founded by former teachers from Axelsons Institute, the oldest and largest school for massage and wellness in the Nordic region. She also studied physical therapy at Uppsala University, deepening her understanding of the human body and how it moves, functions and responds to touch. Her extensive experience in both massage practice and education has helped shape her sensitive, intuitive approach to bodywork.
Specializing in Swedish massage, Helen believes that no two bodies are alike. With a natural ability to listen through touch, she pays close attention to how each body holds tension, responds to movement and touch, and what it needs in the moment. Every treatment is adapted to the individual, allowing her to work with the body rather than follow a fixed routine.
For Helen, massage is about more than relieving tension. It is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with the body and restore a sense of balance and well-being. Her approach is grounded in presence, sensitivity and a genuine commitment to each client’s needs.
After many years of practice in Sweden, Helen is delighted to bring her experience to Falls Village, offering a peaceful, personal space where clients can feel cared for, comfortable and at ease.
